It’s been a while since I posted a best-of albums/EPs list here on the site. I’ve recently unveiled my favourite 30 songs for the entire year, along with 10 more for good measure (honourable mentions) and thereby, I also figured it was time to impart 30 albums that stood out over the entire year (the site has already uploaded 25 favourite EPs here in this link). And while I myself still haven’t reviewed everything that I’ve wanted to in the year of 2018, I have since come to the conclusion, that 2018 was and is one of my favourite years in terms of music (though I think I’ve said that about the year of 2017 in music, as well!). And thus here we are in January 2019, as I am unveiling my favourite 30 albums of the entire year, and ten more that would’ve fit in if I had listened to songs and albums in a different order than what I actually did. Nevertheless, what I will say is this- 2018 for was was the year of the worship artist; alongside folk artists [Andrew Peterson], alternative artists [The New Respects] and just plain pop artists [Riley Clemmons, for KING AND COUNTRY]. Without further ado, here below are 30 albums that have influenced us as a site for the entire duration of 2018 and then beyond. Which albums have impacted you? Let us know in the comments. Til next time!
It’s New Year’s Day everyone! And that only means one thing! Yep, it’s time for another Best Of list- and this time we’re unveiling our top 20 music videos of the second half of the year (the Jan-June list can be viewed here)! So, without further ado everyone, here’s 20 music videos that have resonated with us over the past 6 months! And Happy New Year everyone; i hope and pray that you all have a blessed, enjoyable, relaxing, satisfying and fulfilling 2019!
Welcome to the latest installment of our most recent blog series Top Tens. Last time, we unveiled 10 artists and songs that in our opinion should have been included on the official WOW Hits 2019 track listing, but weren’t. This time, on this special post, and in keeping with a similar theme, I will take an educated guess and list 20 songs that should be shoe-ins for WOW Hits 2020 (key word- should… I wrote a similar post last year and only 3 out of the 20 made it on WOW Hits 2019- better than 2/20 for the year before though!). Some songs that I will predict for WOW Hits 2020 are released right now, so audio slides/lyric videos/music videos/song stories will be below, but others haven’t been released yet and I am just predicting based on the artist. Some are singles, and some songs aren’t singles yet (but could be!) Will these tracks be there in a year’s time? Only time will tell.
Another year, another post about “Top 10 CCM Songs Of The Summer”- and this time, instead of the last two instalments here and here, which we posted in July 2017 and July 2016 respectively, I’m going to ‘gaze into my crystal ball’ and have an educated guess about which songs that I reckon will be BIG over the next few months (both on CCM radio and inspirational in listeners’ lives!), and voice my opinions now- which songs do I reckon will explode and which songs do I reckon will have massive airplay on radio during the upcoming 3 months? Also, which songs do I reckon will worm their way into our hearts, and change our lives from the inside out?
We’re coming to the end of March, and it’s officially Easter time. So before we post any Easter themed blogs or reviews of Easter themed albums, it’s time for another instalment of the ‘Best of’ series. Last time we delved into our anticipated TV series and anticipated movies for 2018, and this time, we are going to reveal to you all which songs throughout the first 3 months of 2018 have impacted us greatly, made us jump up for joy in praise to Jesus, have tugged at our heart, and have encouraged us to tap our toes and just dance! So without further ado, here are 20 songs that are our most favourite of January-March 2018.
