I have a confession to make. When I started this blog series, when I deemed it necessary, needed, essential and non-negotiable, for me to write about up and coming artists, and speaking in depth about their brimming influence and budding potential as songwriters, entertainers, performers, singers, instrumentalists and just general people who undoubtedly will have a mark in their industry today, tomorrow and into the future; I had a list of 10 or 20 (which has now blown out to 50!), and most of the preliminary artists I wrote about were first. Artists like Maren Morris, Lauren Daigle, Tori Kelly, Alessia Cara, Rachel Platten and Jess Glynne were all artists I wrote down on my list straight away back in April 2019 (in fact I reckon that these were the only artists that were both in my original list and my latest list!)- and these were artists I’d written about within my first 10 blogs. As my list kept refining and I kept adding and deleting new-ish artists, there was one such artist that I kept on prolonging talking about- even when I knew they were essential on my list, and an artist that we’d all be talking about for a long time yet.
Hey everyone… guess what! It’s the middle of 2020 already. A crazy year in and of itself- what with COVID-19, Black Lives Matter and everything else in between! Amidst the hustle and bustle though… we’ve missed posting the last installment of Best Of 2019. While we have posted our favourite songs from each quarter of 2019 here, here, here and here; let’s dive back into the year that was, and rewind 6 months ago- as we now let you all know our favourite songs of 2019. All 40 of them! So sit back, be inspired, and let these songs minister to you during this time of uncertainty!
The time has come everyone. Even though we are more than 3 months late, I reckon Easter Sunday is the perfect time for us to reveal our 50 most inspiring albums of 2019- also especially since we all need our albums to help us get through this whole quarantine process. So… without further ado, here is our list of 50 albums which have inspired and encouraged us!
Hi everyone, first of all, how has your 2020 been so far? We’re about 3 months into the year… and I have a confession. We’ve been slack in finishing up our posts for ‘best of 2019’. We’re 3 months late, and there are a few more posts to get through. So… I guess there’s no time like the present! So yes, we are not posting a review, nor a Momentous Mondays post nor a Fantabulous Fridays post. Instead it’s time for us to unveil 20 music videos from July til December 2019, which have resonated with us as a site and inspired us on this crazy road called life. So without further ado, here they are. What are yours? Let us know in the comments. Til next time!
Last year around this time, we delved into 10 2018 albums we never reviewed (due to life getting in the way), including albums from Remedy Drive (North Star), GAWVI (Panorama) and Bright Ones (Bright Ones) to name a few. Now, the time has arrived for us to list 20 albums we never reviewed, which released in 2019 (even though we really wanted to)! Some 2019 albums though, which we have not reviewed, do not make this list though, but that’s only because we still intend to review them over the next couple of months. So…check out these 20 albums- which did you wish we reviewed?
Hi everyone, it’s about 12 days into July- starting to firmly flow into the second half of the year. So what do you think we are posting about today, that isn’t a review, nor a Momentous Mondays post nor a Flashback Fridays post? Yep, it’s time for us to unveil 20 music videos from January til June this year, which have resonated with us as a site. So without further ado, here they are. What are yours? Let us know in the comments. Til next time!
Hi guys, July is here. Well, we’re 5 days into July (4 if you’re living in the U.S.), so let me all give you a 4th July present! What is it, you say? Well, it’s time to announce the 20 songs of this quarter which have impacted us the most, and have impacted our walk with Jesus significantly! So without further ado, here are 20 songs that are our most favourite of April-June 2019.
Another year, another post about “Top 10 CCM Songs Of The Summer”- and this time, instead of the last two instalments here and here, which we posted in July 2017 and July 2016 respectively, I’m going to ‘gaze into my crystal ball’ and have an educated guess about which songs that I reckon will be BIG over the next few months (both on CCM radio and inspirational in listeners’ lives!), and voice my opinions now- which songs do I reckon will explode and which songs do I reckon will have massive airplay on radio during the upcoming 3 months? Also, which songs do I reckon will worm their way into our hearts, and change our lives from the inside out?
Welcome to our first ever ‘first impressions’ review, which is not really an official full length review per se, but rather an early collection of succinct and insightful thoughts. While we aim to hopefully post First Impression Reviews every week, we will at least write these pieces every fortnight (because we have to take into consideration things in our lives that may unexpectedly come up, right?), in anticipation of a review of a high profile album that we will be unveiling the week after. This week, our first instalment is peering using a metaphorical microscope at TobyMac’s 6th solo album **THIS IS NOT A Test** which releases August 7th. So let’s dive in and see whether this new album is worth our while taking a listen to!
