Last year around this time, we delved into 20 2019 albums we never reviewed (due to life getting in the way), including albums from NF (The Search), Sarah Kroger (Bloom), and Tori Kelly (Inspired By True Events) to name a few. Now, the time has arrived for us to list 15 albums we never reviewed, which released in 2020. So…check out these 15 albums. Just because they weren’t reviewed, doesn’t mean that they can’t resonate with all of you. And… which albums did you wish we reviewed?

So…check out these 20 albums- which did you wish we reviewed?

This upcoming TV season is probably the most interesting I’ve ever seen over the past few years. Plenty of timeslot changes from networks, as well as dubious pickups, expected and shocking cancellations alike, as well as head-shaking and confusing fall schedules from some networks; all make for interesting drama. And we’re not even in September yet! Last time on my ‘best of 2019’ list, I wrote about 10 upcoming new fall shows from network TV, that I’m eagerly anticipating, as well as 5 midseason shows. You can view the post here, as well as the official 2019/2020 TV season schedule on Wikipedia– but herein lies the point.

If you have been an avid viewer of this site since the inception way back in 2014 just over 5 years ago, then you could say with confidence that apart from listening to music, and this recently comprises of both Christian and mainstream music (and sometimes religiously following an artist’s career); watching TV shows are one of my greatest hobbies/pasttimes- and for better or worse, I’d say you’re probably right. Not that I have a lot of time to check out TV shows (old and new)…but anyway, that’s beyond the point.

Happy Easter everyone. It’s been about a year since I last said ‘Happy Easter’ to you all, and to my friends and family; and been about 2 years since the last time before that. Gee how time flies! Well on a serious note, it’s that time of year where some of us religiously go back to church, even if we don’t believe in Jesus; and it’s also that time where probably all of us crank up the volume and listen to our favourite worship artist or album. Maybe some Chris Tomlin or Hillsong Worship; Meredith Andrews or Kari Jobel Phil Wickham or Crowder; even Leeland or All Sons and Daughters. There’s tons of worship music to choose from and plenty of songs that vividly describe Jesus’ death and resurrection, so that we can be more in tune with what Jesus actually went through all those years ago. And probably all of us at one point or another have done this- listened to worship music at greater intensity during this time in order to feel closer to Jesus. We’ve actually written two other blogs here and here that briefly touch upon some of the most impacting songs about the cross and the grave. But maybe you don’t want to listen to the same old worship songs year in and year out. Perhaps you want variety, and perhaps you’re not sure where to look. However, songs about Jesus that you probably never knew existed, are closer than you think.

Last year around this time, we delved into 10 2017 albums we never reviewed (due to life getting in the way), including albums from Lecrae (All Things Work Together), GAWVI (Like We Belong) and Jesus Culture (Love Has A Name) to name a few. Now, the time has arrived for us to list 10 albums we never reviewed, which released last year (even though we really wanted to)! A few albums may not make this list though, but that’s only because we still intend to review them this upcoming January and February 2019. So…check out these 10 albums- which did you wish we reviewed?

While we as a site mostly review albums, with the odd TV show and movie thrown in for variety, as well as posting blogs sometimes as well, many of you may be wondering where the up to date news is. I mean, why aren’t we posting about the up to date music/movie/TV show news? Well- it would be a bit time consuming- and we do have to prioritise in terms of what we think is most important. We still share the news- but just not directly on our site, but rather retweeted from other more official twitter accounts on our own twitter page (which is embedded on our site anyway!) So what does that have to do with Top Tens?

Welcome to the latest installment of our most recent blog series Top Tens. Last time, we unveiled 10 artists and songs that in our opinion should have been included on the official WOW Hits 2019 track listing, but weren’t. This time, on this special post, and in keeping with a similar theme, I will take an educated guess and list 20 songs that should be shoe-ins for WOW Hits 2020 (key word- should… I wrote a similar post last year and only 3 out of the 20 made it on WOW Hits 2019- better than 2/20 for the year before though!). Some songs that I will predict for WOW Hits 2020 are released right now, so audio slides/lyric videos/music videos/song stories will be below, but others haven’t been released yet and I am just predicting based on the artist. Some are singles, and some songs aren’t singles yet (but could be!) Will these tracks be there in a year’s time? Only time will tell.

Welcome to the latest instalment of our Top 10 blog series. It’s been a while since we last posted Top Tens on this site (check out the last post here!)- last time, we delved into 30 inspiring collaborative multi-artist songs. This time, in light of the recent WOW Hits 2019 song reveal on Spotify and Capitol Christian Music Group (you can view the list here and here), I will unveil 10 songs from 10 artists that I think should have been in within the track list of 39, but weren’t, for one reason or another. What I will say is this- there are millions of popular radio singles and CCM songs releasing every year, and to fit them all into 39 spots is impossible. There will be songs that will miss out. Simple as that. However, these songs that I post below were, in my opinion, definite shoe-in’s for inclusion, and deserved to be present. Why they were omitted, I will probably never know.

The other day when I was reviewing for an album, and was wanting to quote some lyrics, it dawned on me that probably around 90% of songs that I have heard and been impacted by, are written my maybe 3 or 4 songwriters, maybe more. Does that mean something? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe songs written by just one person don’t really tug at my heart that much, or maybe I’m just not listening to those songs for whatever reason. But what also became clearer during last week, is that one of the types of songs that I immediately gravitate to are songs with guest vocalists (and in most instances, the guest vocalist is a songwriter on the particular song they are featured on as well!). A song by artist A with artist B (or artists B, C and D) singing as well. To hear multiple singers, have their own collaborative stamp on songs is intriguing, so, I guess in honour of my recent reviews of “Gotta Live” (Tedashii and Jordan Feliz) and “Legends” (LZ7 and Silento), here’s my latest top Tens post- 30 collaborative multi-artist songs that have been inspiring to me of late. Songs that tug at my soul and inspire me to live better. Check them out and let me know your favourite multi-artist song!
