Sentimental Saturdays (Recording from CD’s/Radio to Cassette Tapes)
I can still remember back to during the time when me and my brother were in primary school. No DVD’s, no iPads, Nintendo Wiis, Netflix, possibly not even iTunes, Foxtel or laptops even. Just the cathode ray tube TV, the CD/cassette tape recorder, and a clunky old computer that was probably Windows 2000. It was during those days that life was simpler, and we were able to not care that much about all the technological advances that were happening, even during that time. Call it ignorance, or call it just a happy childhood where worry wasn’t an issue, I can remember back to one particular pastime that our family, especially me and my brother, partook in- recording from CD’s and the radio to cassette tapes.

TV Thursdays: If We Lived our Life a Second Time, Would We Do Things Differently? (Being Erica)
Ever wondered how it would be if you lived your life again? Like for a second time, a do-over, a chance to start again? Regrets are common and universal to everyone. It’s something that people deal with, regardless of age, socioeconomic status, religion, morals, values, ethics, belief systems… you get my point.

Sentimental Saturdays (Round the Twist)
As you can probably know from my profile page on the website, I am currently an avid TV show watcher. Current shows like Parenthood, Once Upon a Time, Person of Interest, Castle, The Mentalist, Orphan Black, Switched at Birth, Continuum and Arrow; and previous shows like One Tree Hill, MONK, Psych, Packed to the Rafters, Eureka, Being Erica and Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes; have all, in one way or another, shown me how TV shows can be great, emotive, prolific, encouraging, motivating and entertaining all at once.
Futuristic Fridays (The Future of the World)
Wondering about the future can be such a scary thing. What will happen in 10 years, 20 or even 50? Would DVD’s still be in circulation, would Coles, Woolworths, even companies like Coca Cola, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, Twitter or Disney be multinational global powerhouses, or will another company rise up to the challenge and step in? Will the United States of America still be the country that everyone looks towards for comfort, entertainment, news and security, or will another country, like China or India rise up and take their place? These are legitimate questions, and ought to be asked- by myself, and hopefully others, as we look towards our own personal futures, and the futures of our home countries, and the world, in years and decades to come.

TV Thursdays: Our Search For A Saviour and a Hero (Chuck, Once Upon A Time)
As I mentioned in my X-Men review a week or so ago, humanity’s search for meaning and purpose has stretched across time, with the ache for something more ingrained in us as we long to discover the reason why we are put on this earth. Whether we are 10 or 90, I believe we will never stop searching for what we were meant to do with our lives, our short time on this planet, and we will also never stop looking for someone to guide us in this life.
