FLASHBACK FRIDAYS: Week 1 (Arriving by Chris Tomlin)- We all worship something, so why do we still feel empty?

Imagine a hypothetical scenario. With your friends, you organise going to a really big, important event, that’s special to all of you. You plan out all of the details, figure out the transport, in how to travel to the venue, and make a day trip out of it. Then, once you and your friends have arrived, with the atmosphere buzzing, you take your seats, settle in, enjoy the pre-show entertainment, snack on a few chips and other tasty finger foods, and soak up the once-in-a-lifetime experience. When the main event starts, you’re in awe, and transfixed for the entire duration. There’s an intermission in there somewhere (you’re not really sure when it is, cause you’re captivated by the event, even during the intermission), and during that time, as well as the time after the event ends, it’s all you can talk about. After you have all exited the venue, you’re talking in the car about all sort of topics arising from this event, your views on the topic, which may differ. But you all come to the conclusion that life will never be the same again, because of this one thing you all went to, this one thing that you all participated in. So… what is it that you think I am talking about? The latest Passion conference, or a mainstream pop star’s opening night of their world tour? …or perhaps the opening game of the 2018 rugby league season, or even the night where you and your friends met up at someone’s house to watch the opening night of the 2018 Winter Olympics? Or maybe it’s any or all of them, depending on your point of view?

BEST OF 2016- Part 1: Top 20 Music Videos

It’s that time of the year again…or thereabouts! Where we compile all of our best of lists, and announce our favourite songs, music videos, albums, and EP’s of the year, as well as TV shows and movies; not to mention looking forward to everything happening in the next year. But while there are still 4 and a half months to go, my first best of 2016 list (of my favourite 20 music videos!) is such that I reckon no other music video that would release throughout the rest of 2016 could enter into this list! So here are my favourite 20 music videos of the year thus far!

THROWBACK TUESDAYS & WORSHIP WEDNESDAYS- FAVOURITE WORSHIP SONGS OF 2006

It’s always good to keep up to date in terms of worship music. Yet in keeping in with the trends of the most popular worship song of today (we all know right now it’s “Good, Good Father”), we can sometimes miss the beauty that it is in listening to good worship music of years gone by. So this post will honour and commemorate worship songs of the past, in particular 2006. It was in 2006 that I started to branch out and listen to a wide variety of Christian music. So what are my favourite worship songs of that year? Read on to find out.

Top 10 ___: Top 10 CCM Songs Of The Summer 2016

I know, I know, it’s not summer yet, I’m sure you are all thinking… I mean isn’t summer in December, January and February? Well since most CCM albums predominately release first in the U.S., and artists also mostly tour the U.S. before any other country; then I guess for the purposes of this particular top tens post, summer is June, July and August. You could always pretend we are living in the U.S.

Anyway, now that we’ve got that out of the way, on this coming top tens post, we will delve into 15 songs which I reckon will have massive airplay on radio during the upcoming 3 months, as well as also warming our hearts and changing lives during that time also, with their heartfelt lyrics and relatable topic explored. Does that mean that these songs need to be released around that time? Nope, just in my opinion already released (or yet to be released) which will have a big impact in people’s lives during the next few months. Summer, no matter what hemisphere you live in, is a time for just hanging out with your friends, with the windows down and the stereo system blaring out your favourite tunes! So which do I think will I sing off by heart by the end of August? Read on and find out!
