Independent pop/rock/dance band Abandon, are set to release their new album Love Prevails next week! Full of heartfelt and poignant ballads, explosive and upbeat pop and dance numbers, as well as worshipful melodies, this album is one of our favourites of 2014! I had the privilege of interviewing lead singer Justin Engler (centre) recently via email, about the new album. We discussed the album, what he hopes listeners will experience when hearing the new songs, as well as the band’s goals and dreams for the year ahead. We also touched upon the band’s thoughts about being an independent band in today’s culture of Kickstarter, Indiegogo and PledgeMusic. Check out the interview below.

Probably one of the most intense batch of episodes I’ve seen of Once Upon a Time ever, the 4th season of the ABC series has started off with a big bang, as characters from Frozen filled our screens and interacted with our beloved Storybrooke characters. And while it seemed that in the 4th season premiere episode, that Elsa (Georgina Haig) was going to harm Storybrooke and be the next ‘villian’ for that particular half of the season; what is revealed in the episodes after tells a more chilling story. Welcome Elizabeth Mitchell, to the OUAT family, now if only we can figure out the Snow Queen’s endgame, because it is rather mysterious…

Sentimental Saturdays: Travelling Overseas, and Appreciating the Many Cultures Of Countries Around The World!

travelling overseas

Do you remember the first time you travelled to another town or city or country, by plane? Personally I’m still a little bit apprehensive about flying (and who wouldn’t be, given the current political and economic climate in the world!), however the times that I have been travelling overseas have been worth it, as I gaze upon and bask in God’s creation, and the unique structure, landmarks, and flora and fauna of a different culture. It’s also in those times when I think about the risk involved in travelling to a place beyond my comfort zone, and the implications in my risk taking in general as well.
