  • Jon Foreman, frontman of Switchfoot, is preparing 4 solo EP’s to be released in 2015. We all know how successful and  enjoyable Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall were all those years ago. Are you excited for his next EP collection?
  • Christian music social media site New Release Tuesday (NRT) has been pretty busy this week with a vast amount of news. Their weekly NRT google hangout was with Desperation Band (founded by Jon Egan, member and worship leader of New Life Worship). NRT also released an article of their top 10 music videos of the year (how do they compare with your favourites?), alongside news of a Tenth Avenue North album stream on their website. Excited for the new TAN album?
  • Lyric Videos and Music Videos galore. This week music videos from Tenth Avenue North (“No Man Is An Island (Acoustic)”, Mac Powell (“Rumors of War”), Big Daddy Weave (“Overwhelmed”), Natalie Grant (“Burn Bright”), TobyMac (“Eye’m All Mixed Up”), Whosoever South (“Down Here”), Chris Tomlin (“Waterfall”, “Jesus Loves Me”) and The Digital Age (“Fall Afresh”) and lyric videos from Michael W. Smith, Sanctus Real (“The Dream”), Finding Favour (lyric video and audio slide of “City Night”) and Kerrie Roberts (“My Heart’s Lifted”) released to youtube. Which songs/videos are your favourites?
  • One of our favourite bands, Tenth Avenue North released 2 video journals here and here for “Stars in the Night”, from their most recent album Cathedrals. If you ask me, I reckon the song will be their next single? What do you think of the songs and the devotionals?
  • Both Brooke Fraser and Jillian Edwards, great songwriters with big hearts for the Lord, have been influencing the mainstream music industry with their songs of hope and encouragement. Brooke has released her new album Brutal Romantic (preview on idolator) and Jillian has a new Christmas EP releasing at the end of the month. Excited for both Brooke’s and Jillian’s music?
  • A lot of album news this week. The Era, featuring Nicole Croteau, her husband David Mohr and her sister Olivia Noelle have formed a band called The Era, while Jon Guerra, worship leader at Vertical Church, is in the studio preparing for his full-length album releasing sometime in the future. Hip hop artist Hillary Jane’s Stix and Stones is getting an acoustic makeover (announcement in the documentary), while press releases of new music from Angie Miller, Kerrie Roberts, Rend Collective, Family Force 5 and Capital Kings have also been announced. Which news are you the most excited about?
  • This week has been a light-on week in terms of TV news. Nevertheless, this week we’ve heard the cancellation of Perception after 3 seasons, and the renewal of Graceland for its 3rd season. Switched at Birth and The Fosters’s Christmas Episodes will be available online prior to the airings on ABC Family, while James Wolk, previously of The Crazy Ones fame, is now starring in CBS series Zoo, a thriller about animals being infected with a contagious virus that spreads between species. Amazon has announced its pilot season for early 2015, while there just might be some life in Longmire– with Netflix eyeing a season 4 pickup. The CW has announced its return dates in January 2015 for fall TV shows, while also announcing holiday episodes for a vast amount of their show lineup; and ABC Family has announced its 2014 Season premiere dates as well.
