Finding Carter (The Long Goodbye, One Hour Photo)

Shall I be the first person to say that cliffhanger endings are especially the worst- especially if Finding Carter wasn’t renewed? Even though it was (the ending didn’t really matter- the show is back next year), the ending of episode 12, the season 1 finale, would probably have been one of the worst series endings ever (that’s if the show was cancelled). Frankly, even as a season finale, the last episode wasn’t really that great. Nevertheless, despite my reservations after One Hour Photo (the episode title should’ve given away to us what the plotline of the last episode was about), Finding Carter is still a great show. With an ending like what I’m sure everyone has seen- if they’re reading this review- then season 2 will be all the more great to be excited about.

Finding Carter (Throw Momma From the Train, Half Baked, Do the Right Thing, Love Story)

It’s been over a week since the 10th episode of Finding Carter, but here I am again, writing my review of episodes 7-10. One of my favourite new shows of 2014 so far (I can’t say it enough, if the show continues with the calibre that it is showcasing, it could be the new One Tree Hill, provided the actors are on board and committed, and the show survive that long), Finding Carter’s use of a poignant, emotive and sensitive subject and its ability to turn around a topic so mellow and bring about a story so intriguing, interesting and with such a depth to both its characters and its plotline is nothing short of something extraordinary.
