It’s time for Throwback Tuesdays, and this week we are delving into the hit song “Glory Defined”, from CCM/pop/rock band Building 429.

Recently releasing We Won’t Be Shaken in 2013, this year is the 10 year anniversary of the band’s first album Glory Defined. The title track of that album became the band’s first single, and the rest is history, with their 7^th studio album slated to release sometime in 2015. Thematically about longing for heaven, and waiting to see Jesus, and bowing at His feet, the melody also speaks about praising Jesus in all circumstances for who He is. Never ever compromising their faith, the 4 piece band is one of my favourite bands over the past few years. If you think of debut singles by Christian bands, this song, which is full of life, still having a sense of freshness, and rooted in biblical truth and vulnerability, is all you could want as a first single to propel a band to stardom.
