Hey everyone… guess what! It’s March 2021, and slowly coming up to April. And I’ve just found out that we haven’t uploaded our top 20 albums of the second half of 2020 yet! Shame on us! Anyway… it’s time to rectify this issue right away! So without further ado, let me present to you all our favourite 20 albums as a site for the period of July-December 2020! Impacting and inspiring songs are special, but whole album near-masterpieces? They’re even more special!  So sit back, be inspired, and let these full length projects minister to you during this time of uncertainty!

BEST OF 2020- PART 4: TOP 40 SONGS OF 2020 [JULY-DEC]

Hey everyone… guess what! It’s the end of 2020… already! It’s been such an eventful and crazy year in and of itself- with COVID-19, Black Lives Matter, Warner Brothers announcing 2021 films will be debuting in the cinemas and on HBO Max at the same time, India being rolled for 36 all out in Test cricket, and everything else in between! Amidst the hustle and bustle though… we’ve realised that it’s time for another Best Of 2020 post! So let’s dive back in through the past 6 months- as we now let you all know our favourite songs of 2020 from the back half of the year. All 40 of them! So sit back, be inspired, and let these songs minister to you during this time of uncertainty! Let us remember that even though this year is uncertain, that music is constant, and that these songs can comfort, inspire and encourage as we navigate through life.

MOMENTOUS MONDAYS: INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS OF ALL TIME – WEEK 39: NEEDTOBREATHE

‘…we’ve been very fortunate in that way [to be welcomed by both Christian and mainstream music]. There are a lot of bands that made that possible. Switchfoot was one of the bands that paved the way for that to happen. They fought some battles that we didn’t have to fight. We’re thankful for that for sure. It was really intentional, in terms of how we approached the early part of our career from a business standpoint. We got offered a lot of Christian contracts when we first came out and we turned those down because we wanted to make sure we set it up the right way and give ourselves a chance to be able to do everything we wanted to do. We made some mistakes along the way. I’d be lying if I said we did it all right. It hasn’t always gone according to plan, but at the same time, we’ve been really fortunate to do what we set out to do, which was make music for as many people as possible. We wanted kids who were like us to enjoy our music, but we also wanted their friends to like our music too. We wanted people that would never go to a Christian store or go to a church to listen to music to be able to get into our music. That’s what we set out to do. I think we’ve been able to keep that dream alive. God put that on our hearts and it’s been His plan, which has been amazing to be a part of…’
