Top 10 ___: 15 Albums That Have Been Influential In My Life Thus Far

Yes, I know we as a site just posted a top 10’s mere days ago, but this topic has been brewing in me for a while. What does it mean for an album to be influential? Sure you can have your favourite albums of any given year because of great lyrics, music and the technicalities of it all. Yet for an album to be influential in your life is a different story. For an album to mean something to you in a season of our life, the album has to strike a chord with you when no other album has done before. For me during my 26 years on this earth, there has been several that have done that. Maybe we need to stop listing our favourite albums just because, and really delve deep into the heart of the matter- what albums have influenced your life in a positive manner from birth til now? Which albums are impacting for sentimental reasons? Which albums are special, mean a lot to you when others may not like the tracks for whatever reason? BEST OF 2015- PART 4: TOP 30 ALBUMS OF 2015

Another week (or so) gone, another best of post. Sounds about right? Yeah, I reckon so too. Now, without further ado, here’s my favourite 30 albums of 2015. May you have many happy hours listening to great music and enjoy the remainder of 2015.

Throwback Tuesdays: New Music of 2015 compared to that of 2005

I know it’s been a while since the last Throwback Tuesdays, yet with new albums from Kutless, Natalie Grant and Casting Crowns all releasing this coming week (Surrender, Be One and A Live Worship Experience respectively), I thought it would be fitting as a tribute to these bands to look back over the years, especially to 2005, and to see how these artists have evolved in their singing and songwriting skills. Because after all, isn’t this topical post about how songs, music, movies, TV series and the like have been influential over the times, and how they have actually stood the test of time, regardless of time itself?

BEST OF 2015- PART 3: Top 30 Songs of 2015

It’s been about a month since my favourite 15 music videos of the year was posted on the site. Now at the end of October, I figure it’s time to make my choices. Below are my favourite 30 songs of 2015. Obviously there are a whole lot more songs that sadly couldn’t be represented within my top 30, considering the amount of music that is released each week throughout the year. Yet hard choices were made. Feel free to comment below about what your favourite music of the year is. Below will be the song, as well as a lyric/audio slide/music video of it, so that you can listen along as well.

Check out these 5 new songs of albums releasing in the remainder of 2015/16, and my thoughts on them. Which songs will you pick up when they become available on iTunes?
