Disciple. What do each of these aforementioned artists have in common? The answer is that their all signed to BEC Recordings, probably one of the most underrated Christian labels ever. Well, it’s time to say hello to yet another new artist that BEC Recordings have signed. Dianne Michelle (whom I know nothing about- and there’s not even a biography floating around on the internet somewhere!) has recently signed to the label, and just last month, she released her debut worship single “I Am Healed”. Though it’s unusual to see a worship artist on a label alongside pop/rock acts, this inspiring and encouraging melody is sure to provide healing, comfort and peace, as we all bask in the presence of Jesus and proclaim the powerful words that He has healed us.
With resounding and commanding vocals similar to Natalie Grant, Kim Walker-Smith of Jesus Culture and Kari Jove, Dianne packs a lot into the 3 minutes 25 second worship ballad (or 4 minutes, if you’re watching the lyric video of the track!) as she authoritatively sings out that ‘…sickness, you have no power here, darkness, you have no power here, chaos, you have no power here, in Jesus name…’, commanding the forces of evil to leave, and for the power of Jesus to invade our lives, and heal us from everything that is not of Him. Declaring that we are spiritually healed because of what Jesus has done, even if we may be physically broken and bruised, is a tough ask for someone in the midst of trial and tribulations; yet I am certain that this in-your-face anthem has the power to change lives around for the better- “I Am Healed” is probably going to be one of the songs this coming year with the most impact to listeners, I reckon! What more can I say about Dianne Michelle’s debut single? From one song alone, I guess it’s tough for me to gauge what her full-length album will be about musically (which I’m sure she will release at some point this year or next year!) but what I do know is that Dianne is a young woman on fire for Jesus, and her passion is very evident in this track. So stop what you are doing right now (yes, right now) and check out “I Am Healed”. Be blessed, encouraged, inspired, and pass it along to someone who needs to hear this song! Well done Dianne, I can’t wait to hear more from you in your future projects!
