Wondering why we as a site have been absent lately from continuous blog posting? At various times in the past, I’ve not been that motivated to write for whatever reason. Sometimes it would be a mind blank, which is the primary reason why these last few weeks, there hasn’t been a week where every single blog is uploaded online. This week, there was a different reason for the hesitation of writing, (a blog post after Throwback Tuesdays and before the Sunday News Roundup). An event that united the world, it was not for jovial or happy reasons- for it was because of this pivotal moment in Australian history that encouraged me to discuss this week’s Worship Wednesdays, TV Thursdays and Sentimental Saturdays all in one post. To be honest, this dark and sad week has reminded me of the frailty and shortness of life, and writing my thoughts and feelings in this article will hopefully make sense of what has happened and hopefully allow people to heal in their own way, inclusive of myself. There are weeks that change you and move you to reflect about life, and this was one of them.

Last week on Message Mondays, we delved into the themes present in Tenth Avenue North’s new song “No Man Is An Island”, and how God created us for community with him and also with other believers, that we are meant to live life in communion, relationship and fellowship with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ so that we can build each other up and live a live to the fullest and pleasing to God. This week on Message Mondays, we are talking about something I was reminded of in church yesterday, of a concept that I think we all need to understand and realise so that we can live in true freedom in God’s presence and love!

klove air 1

Another week, another Top 10 blog post. Since we have started this top 10 series, we have talked about many topics, from worship artists, movie trilogies and franchises, activities to undertake in Australia and high sugar foods, to superheroes, things to do at the beach, and original and traditional Christmas carols, as well as top 10 music videos of the year. Now this topic, though it may seem a little critical, is equally as valid- what are the top 10 most overplayed songs on Christian radio throughout the last 15 years?

Throwback Tuesdays: Third Day’s “Consuming Fire”!

thirdday

Seeing that Third Day have recently announced that they are releasing a new worship album Lead Us Back in 2015, and that the official lyric video of “Our Deliverer” (below) recently was unveiled; I thought that is was only fitting that today’s Throwback Tuesdays post would be of a Third Day song. And I reckon there’s no better song to delve into and analyse than Third Day’s very first single “Consuming Fire”, recorded in 1996 on their debut album!
