Top Ten Hymns

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a top tens, and this time, in honour of Audrey Assad’s new hymns album releasing February 12th, we at 365 Days of Inspiring Media thought it would be best to state what we believe to be our favourite 10 hymns and hymns redone. So check out our list below and see if any one of ours match up with our favourites.

1. Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) (Chris Tomlin)

2. Just As I Am (Nichole Nordeman)

3. Turn Your Eyes (Where We Belong) (Newsboys)

4. Jesus Firm Foundation (Mike Donehey, Mark Hall, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mandisa)

5. Jesus Paid It All (Kristian Stanfill)

6. In Christ Alone (Avalon)

7. Cornerstone (Hillsong Worship)

8. How Great Thou Art (feat. Trip Lee) (Jimmy Needham)

9. The Wonderful Cross (Matthew West)

10. Nothing But the Blood (Casting Crowns)

There you have it. My favourite 10 hymns and hymns redone by some of today’s most popular artists. What are some of your favourite hymns? List them below in the comments. Til next time.

  1. I thought Audrey Assad’s hymn album was coming out on New Year’s Day…?
It was cool to see what your top 10 favorite hymns are. I have to say Chris Tomlin’s take on Amazing Grace is wonderful.
I’m not sure if this counts as a hymn, but I *really* like Avalon’s version of All Hail The Power of Jesus’ Name. 🙂

      1. not sure if ‘good good father’ has hymn status yet. maybe in the future. but yeah, i really love that song as well. certain to be a nomination for song of the year at this year’s dove awards.
